PROJECT LEVEL UP AFTERCARE MANAGER                             

ANNUAL SALARY $47,246.00 

Essential Functions:

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Aftercare Manager will be responsible for overseeing the specific needs and progress of individual juveniles who are enrolled in Project Level Up. Project Level Up shall: (1)provide aftercare services to participants; (2) provide mentorship guidance to increase participant engagement with programs and services resulting in a reduction in re-arrest; (3) provide services to the families in order to support the success of participants; and finally, where appropriate, (4) provide participants with housing away from their home environment.

Aftercare Manager will be required to perform duties related to delivering advanced counseling, advocacy and crisis intervention services to program participants.

Aftercare Manager will interview, analyze, counsel, perform crisis intervention services, lead staff and coordinate program participant's activities.

Examples of Specific Duties:

  • Oversees all programs involving home to school to service center, mentoring and family intervention.
  • Leads and coordinates daily work activities of co-workers or program related to work assignments and priorities; organizes tasks in order to complete assigned work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with co-workers, assists with complex/problem situations, and provides technical expertise, assists with training and instructing co-workers regarding operational procedures.
  • Provides support to program participants involving trauma, reviews and interprets case files, interviews program participants and provides consultation, professional opinions and written reports to attorneys.
  • Provides training, education, and guidance to program participants.
  • Trains new staff in working with program participants regarding abuse or significant trauma.
  • Creates and sustains the plan to grow the program on the assigned sites through boards, committees, donor, and staff development.
  • Serves on various community agencies, boards, committees, or other special assignments.
  • Serves as the principal Project Level Up liaison regarding out of home placements.
  • Works with staff and volunteers to manage the After Care Program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field required; supplemented by two years of experience in victim advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, or social work; to include 1 year lead experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. Requires knowledge of judicial processes and court procedures.  Requires knowledge of crisis intervention and counseling practices.

Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors: Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as violence or rude/irate customers.
